This is an opportunity for those intimidated by their overlocker, or want to take the mystic out of using one before going ahead and buying one! You will create samples of the skills mentioned below, there is no end ‘make’ in this workshop. Jan and Janet will co teach this workshop.

Payment and refund policy
A £10 deposit is required to secure your place and is non refundable should you wish to cancel. Please make full payment of £30 by Saturday 4th May 2024 (or one week before the workshop), and note it is non refundable after this time. Failure to make full payment by this date will mean your place is offered on. However, you may transfer your booking onto another person at anytime before the workshop date. In the unlikely event there are insufficient bookings for the course to be viable I will notify you by Thursday 9th May (or 2 days prior to the workshop) and refund all course fees immediately.

Skills you will learn:
- Learn to thread your overlocker
- Adjusting the settings for different fabrics
- Stitching seams using your overlocker, including for different weight fabrics
- To change the threads quickly, without the need to rethread!
- how to secure seams and turn corners
- how to do a rolled hem
- how to do flat locking
What to bring:
- An overlocker, if you have one. We have a few for use in the class but it makes sense to learn how to use your own. Please let us know if you want to borrow one of ours.
- We will bring everything you need to make the samples listed above.
- Sewing equipment – We bring everything we will need but you might like to bring basic sewing things you have. Suggestions can be found here.
- Coffee, tea and biscuits are provided but please bring your lunch.
