Welcome

Welcome to Sew Together!

Sew Together started in January 2018. It aims to be a small sewing school, where individuals can be inspired, foster their love and knowledge for everything sewing related and perhaps even more! It hopes to offer support and guidance to beginners and those that are more proficient; to help you to gain in confidence and learn new skills. It also hopes you will gain long lasting friendship and support within the teaching group.

Sew Together several sewing opportunities to appeal to a wide range of sewers: there is an evening class – Get back to Sewing, a morning ‘club style’ class and a small weekly teaching class both held on a Wednesday, at Youth in Romsey (next to Romsey Rapids). There is a monthly Saturday Sew Together, making small items that focus on learning new sewing skills. Our other Saturday option is similar to the Wednesday teaching session, to be held approximately every 3 weeks. It is a session for beginner to intermediate sewists, aimed at building confidence in dressmaking. You can choose your own project, or for guidance, we have a lot of past workshops you can look at for inspiration.  One to one tuition is also available.

We are passionate about fostering good mental health; learning a new skill and socialising with others are generally believed to be effective at achieving that.
